MIA hosted Indian representatives

MIA representatives presented the achievements of Slovenian e-government to their Indian counterparts. One of the most prominent achievements is the system of interoperability of components for electronic data acquisition for e-welfare which received the prestigious UN Public Service award in 2013.

 

Indian delegation was also informed of the smart regulation activities with the view of renewal the Action plan for the elimination of administrative barriers and reduction of the regulatory burden in 2012 and 2013. Two projects were presented in greater detail, the “Stop the bureaucracy!” project and the internet portal “EUGO Slovenia” which is a part of the project “Slovenia Business Point” intended to offer comprehensive information on life cycle of business for domestic and foreign service providers at the point of single contact.

 

At the meeting the representative from the Slovenian Commission for the prevention of corruption presented the main activities and achievements in the field of integrity and prevention of corruption with the emphasis on the “Supervisor” internet portal which offers better transparency and control over the consumers of public funds.  
Indian experts have actively participated in the presentations and expressed their satisfaction with the achievements of the Slovenian public sector and their know-how.

In the framework of the working visit organized by the International Center for Promotion of Enterprises (ICPE) the Indian guests also visited a number of other ministries, universities and banks.
